Program Description
WIOA Eligible Program
This program is approved for federal funding under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which means individuals who meet certain criteria may qualify for financial assistance.
Throughout the course, safety and work ethic is emphasized. Certificates earned include National Center for Construction Education and Research Electrical Level 1, OSHA 10 Hour Safety Card. Forklift Training and Certification is also included. In the classroom, the student will be introduced to Electrical Theory, general safety, and residential wiring. Lab work is on demonstration boards where each student will mount boxes and connect them with conduit, MC, and Romex. Multiple switching, lighting and receptacle configurations are assembled. Each student will also be introduced to various conduit bending methods, tools, and procedures.
