Program Description

WIOA Eligible Program
This program is approved for federal funding under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which means individuals who meet certain criteria may qualify for financial assistance.
Students will learn hands-on arc welding process in the flat, vertical, and overhead positions in the following: Fillet welds on carbon steel plate (all positions) Gas metal arc and fluxed core arc welding on carbon steel plate Fillet welds on carbon steel with tig Stainless Steel + Aluminum welding with G.T.A.W This course will provide students with: Blueprint reading, SMAW – shielded metal arc welding, GMAW – gas metal arc welding, FCAW – fluxed core arc welding, Plasma arc cutting, Carbon arc cutting Oxy/Fuel cutting with both hand and machine torches, Safe and proper setup and the use of welding equipment and tools

Classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
