Career Moves Celebrates the Delaware Workforce Development Board’s Goodwill Advocacy Award
We’re excited to share that one of our partners, the Delaware Workforce Development Board (DWDB), has been honored with the 2025 Advocacy Award from Goodwill of Delaware & Delaware County! This award recognizes DWDB’s work in partnership with Tech Impact to launch Career Moves, and their commitment to meaningful collaboration through the Goodwill Connect project.
With Career Moves, our mission is to help Delawareans connect with high-quality training opportunities and workforce programs. Thanks to DWDB’s vision, with the expertise and collaboration of Goodwill and Tech Impact, we’re making that mission more accessible than ever.
Through Goodwill Connect, residents can access Career Moves directly through kiosks in Goodwill stores across Delaware or from any internet-connected mobile device. These kiosks also link users to:
- Goodwill’s Career Navigators and Opportunity Accelerator program
- The Delaware Department of Labor’s JobLink
- The United Way’s 2-1-1 resource line
This initiative was made possible through Congressionally Directed Funding secured by Delaware’s U.S. Congressional delegation, and it represents the best of what happens when government, nonprofits, and tech partners come together to meet people where they are.
To date, more than 600 individuals have used Goodwill Connect to link to job training, employment opportunities, and essential services—and that number keeps growing.
We’re proud to be part of this innovative, community-powered solution, and to see our partner, the Delaware Workforce Development Board, recognized for the role they played in bringing Career Moves to life.
Congratulations to DWDB, and thank you to all of our partners for helping Career Moves reach Delawareans across the entire state.
