At Career Moves, we’re always looking for ways to make it easier for Delawareans to discover, explore, and act on career training opportunities that fit their goals. Our newest app updates are designed to help users find the right programs faster, highlight more industries, and give program providers new ways to showcase their impact.

Here’s what’s new in the latest release of the Career Moves app:

Improved Filters for Easier Search

Since many of Delaware’s program providers have multiple training opportunities, it’s useful to be able to more easily see everything an organization offers. Also, it’s clear that having flexible options for program attendance is important and can determine if someone is able to participate in a program or not. Now, it’s possible to filter by attendance type.

  • Search by Program Provider: You can now browse a list of all program providers and filter your search to focus on specific organizations. Whether you’re looking for opportunities from a local training center or a statewide workforce program, it’s easier to discover all opportunities offered by specific providers.
  • Filter by Attendance Type: Looking for in-person training? Prefer to learn online? Need something hybrid? You can now filter programs by in-person, virtual, or hybrid attendance types—so you can choose the option that fits your schedule and learning style.

Work Experience Indicator

Want to gain hands-on experience while you learn? Now you can easily find programs that offer real-world training opportunities.

Program listings now more clearly indicate when a program includes internships, apprenticeships, or co-ops—so users can quickly spot opportunities that combine learning with on-the-job experience.

Expanded Industries for Broader Opportunities

We’ve expanded our industry list to reflect more of the diverse career paths available across Delaware and to ensure we include high-growth industries, such as Science & Technology. You’ll now find opportunities in:

  • Childcare & Education
  • Cosmetology
  • Food & Agriculture
  • Science & Technology
  • Security & Protective Services
  • Tourism & Hospitality

New “Program Impact” Section

We’ve introduced a new Program Impact section on program listings, giving providers space to share meaningful information about their programs and what next steps people who complete the program can take.

This feature helps users understand the value, real-world results, and next steps of each opportunity, empowering them to make confident, informed decisions about their next move.

Looking Ahead

Every update is designed to make Career Moves more useful, transparent, and empowering for everyone. Whether you’re exploring a new career path or connecting Delawareans to training and jobs, Career Moves helps bridge the gap between opportunity and action.

Career Moves 2.0 is already in the works with major enhancements and new features, such as a dedicated portal for program providers to manage and update their listings. Stay tuned for more information and timelines related to our next release!
