The Front-End Web Developer content introduces students to front-end, or client-side, web development technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery. Participants learn how to make interactive applications that run inside a web browser and can communicate with a web server running remotely. Participants also learn how to use the version control program Git and the collaboration website GitHub. Once complete, participants will have the basic skills necessary to work as a front-end web developer.

The Sussex Tech Adult Education Forklift Certification Training program prepares students to earn an industry recognized Forklift License compliant with OSHA standards.  The license enables students to drive class IV LPS forklift vehicles.  The 4-hour program is offered in the evening, allowing participants to work and train at the same time (opportunities for daytime training will also be offered).  The program includes classroom instruction, and on-site forklift driving.  Each participant will be required to demonstrate the gained knowledge and skills required to safely operate a

The Emergency Medical Technician program prepares students to provide advanced prehospital emergency care under medical command authority to acutely ill or injured patients. Students will recognize, assess, and manage a medical or trauma emergency, record and communicate pertinent data to designated medical command authority, and direct and coordinate the transport of the patient.

The EMT-Basic Certificate Course represents the first response of the emergency medical system. Be prepared to care for patients at the scene of an accident and transport patients by ambulance to the hospital under the direction of more highly trained medical personnel. Learn basic emergency skills to assess a patient’s condition and manage respiratory, cardiac, and trauma emergencies.
