System Engineering Program

Intro to JAVA provides students with the beginning knowledge and skills needed to design, write, and implement basic JAVA programs. Topics include logic/algorithm development, control structures, variables, input/output, modular designs, debugging techniques, beginning use of classes and objects, and object-oriented programming concepts. Students will write programs that implement basic topics mentioned above to solve simple problems. The ITWorks program helps prepare young adults (18 -26 years old) for entry-level IT careers without the need for a degree. Through a 16-week program provided at no cost, students are taught industry-led skills to pass the CompTIA A+ certification.

This course is designed for individuals who are interested in obtaining a job as an entry-level IT technician. This course is also designed for students who are seeking the CompTIA A+ certification and who want to prepare for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 220-1101 Certification Exam and the CompTIA A+ Core 2 220-1102 Certification Exam.
