The Emergency Medical Technician program prepares students to provide advanced prehospital emergency care under medical command authority to acutely ill or injured patients. Students will recognize, assess, and manage a medical or trauma emergency, record and communicate pertinent data to designated medical command authority, and direct and coordinate the transport of the patient.
The Sussex Tech Adult Education Forklift Certification Training program prepares students to earn an industry recognized Forklift License compliant with OSHA standards.  The license enables students to drive class IV LPS forklift vehicles.  The 4-hour program is offered in the evening, allowing participants to work and train at the same time (opportunities for daytime training will also be offered).  The program includes classroom instruction, and on-site forklift driving.  Each participant will be required to demonstrate the gained knowledge and skills required to safely operate a
Graduates of this option may enter the workforce immediately as a paraeducator in a school setting or they may choose to continue their education. The main focus of this education option is to prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university where they will complete their bachelor’s degree and become certified to teach elementary school.
The program provides a foundation in academic skills, child development theory, literacy and mathematics, and classroom management strategies. During the required education courses in this option, students are exposed to the teaching profession through a variety of field experiences.

Prepare the student to collect Electrocardiogram readings from patients and providing those readings to the physicians and nurses for review and interpretation.
The Electronic Systems Technician (EST) program prepares students to work with low-voltage applications in both residential and commercial settings. EST’s install and maintain security, fire, telecommunications, and audio/ video systems.
The Electrical program will prepare students to install residential and commercial electrical systems, wiring and other electrical components such as circuit breakers, generators, switches and light fixtures, to follow blueprints, to understand the National Electrical Codes and is the approved formal pathway to electrical licensing. Job placement services, and licensing navigation assistance are available.
The four-year Electrical Construction program at Polytech Adult Education provides the related technical instruction required to complete a State of Delaware Electrical Apprenticeship
