Program Description

WIOA Eligible Program
This program is approved for federal funding under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which means individuals who meet certain criteria may qualify for financial assistance.
This course is for someone who is looking for an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. This program will provide training to prepare students with skills to assist the doctor by preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, and technical aspects of phlebotomy. Classes are taught in person and through online lectures, student laboratory, and clinical experiences. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant national exam and the Certified Phlebotomy Technician Exam. Tuition includes textbook, exam fee, BLS certification, supplies, and criminal background/drug screening. Internship/clinical experience included (hours may vary from course schedule). Minimum 10.0 grade-level equivalent in Reading required.

Outcomes & Opportunities

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant national exam and the Certified Phlebotomy Technician Exam.
