Program Description

WIOA Eligible Program
This program is approved for federal funding under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which means individuals who meet certain criteria may qualify for financial assistance.

The Certified Pharmacy Technician Training Program includes classroom instruction, a hands-on internship, lab experiences, and has been developed to prepare students for successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination through PTCB - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Students will have two (2) 24-hour clinical internships (unpaid work experiences) in both a retail pharmacy and a hospital to prepare them for employment. Graduates will become Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT). Minimum 10.0 grade-level equivalent in BOTH Reading and Math (using the Accuplacer assessment) AND competent computer skills.
