This program provides students with the basic skills necessary for pursuing a career as a chef. Graduates will also be prepared for continuing their studies towards an advanced degree. Classes are a combination of classroom lecture and hands-on cooking in the demonstration kitchen.
The Culinary School is a 14-week training program, certified by the Delaware Department of Education, that prepares students for careers in the food service industry.
The curriculum involves 1500 hours to satisfy Delaware State requirements. The course includes extensive instruction and practical experience in cutting, hair coloring, perming, customer service, personal appearance and hygiene, personal motivation and development, retail skills, client keeping, business ethics, sanitation, state law and regulations, salon-type administration, and job interviewing.

Delaware Tech’s 300-hour Construction Technology program is designed to provide entry-level skills in a variety of Construction Trades. This includes carpentry, masonry, concrete finishing, electrical work, HVAC basics, and plumbing. Participants will become skilled in different phases of a construction project from start to finish.
